California's Pacific Beach

There is just something about standing on the beach looking out at the Pacific Ocean. As one breathes in the salt air washing over you by the breeze all troubles melt away and a newfound energy rises from within. Over 26 million visitors to Pacific Beach can attest to this. It is the reason why millions more will visit, some for the first time, others for the twentieth.

The sights and sounds of Pacific Beach are no less enticing at night. After a breathtaking sunset you can immerse yourself in the nightlife all while enjoying the sounds of the waves crashing ashore throughout the night. Known to have one of the most popular beach bars in California, the nightlife here is a mesmerizing experience for all the senses. Pacific Beach offers tourists great music, fabulous new people, exquisite ambiance and hours of dancing, eating and making merry. With most beach bars and clubs in close proximity to the local hotels convenience becomes key to a great time after dark.

For couples with children Pacific Beach offers many family friendly hours of fun. At Sea World families can enjoy shows with the trained dolphins. Afterwards take the kids to the amusement park and listen to them scream with delight as they enjoy the rides. Don't forget to indulge in some cotton candy or treat yourself to great dining facilities nearby. The great thing about California's Pacific Beach is that fun is around every corner. It is here that vacation memories are made to last a lifetime.

Looking for excitement? Check out the surfing competitions! Watch as professionals and amateurs square off against one another in these fun but fiercely competitive shows of athleticism. Male and female, young and old; they are all looking to catch the perfect wave and crowd out the competition. It's one of the few water sports in which the athletes can't help but smiling through.

If the excitement of surfing pales in comparison to your need to shop then look no further than Pacific Beach's trendy boutiques along the way. Treat yourself to a hip new hairdo by one of California's talented stylists at one of the numerous salons along the beach. If it's trendy clothing you're looking for you'll be pleased to know that many new retail shops have opened offering you the opportunity to be a trend setter back home with one of the hot new California looks. All of this shopping can make a person tired. Rejuvenate with an iced latte from Star Bucks then be prepared to shop some more!

With all of the activities available at the beach, don't forget to take the time to just absorb the moment. Take a relaxing stroll down the beach and let your worries be carried away. Sit in the sand and allow the tranquil, awe-inspiring colors of the sunset as it sinks into the vast Pacific Ocean. Enjoy your time in California and don't forget to plan your next vacation here again next year. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
